Coaching and Mediation Services

Conflict Coaching

Through Cindy's classes, mediation sessions, and the support system she has helped me develop, I have been able to reconnect with my children, myself and my husband. For the first time in my life I have begun to experience a joy that I didn't know was possible. - Amy F.

If you are experiencing an ongoing conflict with someone in your life and /or you are anticipating a difficult conversation with someone, and you would like a new way of communicating with that person, conflict coaching may be a solution. Coaching helps the client have more clarity on his needs and how to make requests related to those needs in such a way that he is more likely to have his needs met. The number of sessions is dependent upon the specific situation and the needs of the individual. Sessions can be done in person, over the phone, or via Skype.

"The significant problems we face today cannot be solved with the same level of thinking that created them." - Einstein

NVC Mediation Services

NVC helped me understand... the pattern of communication I'm most comfortable with doesn't allow me to connect the way I want to. Now, I slow down before I react and think about their needs and my needs. - Patti R.

Sometimes people in conflict require support to be able to connect and have solutions that feel good for all. In a NVC mediation, both parties come together and are guided through a process so they can hear each other and come to solutions where everyone feels valued. Oftentimes, a pre-mediation session is recommended prior to the mediation, so that I can hear both parties' needs and know what each person would like to get out of the mediation. Pre-mediation is also useful for the client because it provides for a better understanding of the pace and format of the mediation process ahead of time. Pre-mediation sessions typically last a half hour to an hour and can be done in person, over the phone, or via Skype. Mediations can take anywhere from one session to several depending upon the circumstance. This can be discussed during our initial call and during the pre-mediation stage.

Empathy Sessions

A huge component of the NVC process is empathy or presence. Oftentimes, when we are experiencing pain what we are most wanting is pure presence from another human being - no fixing, no advice, no questions or commiserating, just someone to be with us in our pain. In that light, I am available for in person or over the phone or Skype empathy sessions.
